红色家书是指与中国共产党的历史有关的家书文献，作于烽火年代，传递革命精神。《跨越时空的回信》节目以一封家书的诵读，后人们对家书的回信，跨越时空，实现过去、现在、未来三个维度情感和故事的链接。。由松竹映像、富士映画联合出品，故事原形是1938年发生的“冈山事件”，当时冈山县津山市的苫田郡西加茂村22岁的青年都井睦雄，以火药枪、武士刀不到两个小时的时间内杀死三十人，最后潜逃深山开枪自杀人。创造了在极短时间内大量杀人，日本乃至全世界的犯罪记录。。The script is set in 1759.
